Harald Kastlunger was born in 1937 in Bressanone, South Tyrol. He studied drawing and sculpture with famous artists and conquered the world with its exhibitions throughout Europe and overseas.
Kastlunger says in an interview to believe in Christmas as a feast of peace and a peacemaker. The artist distances himself from the clichés, the traditional patterns and kitsch and diffuses into the characters of his wooden nativity authenticity and expressiveness in the movement of their hands and gestures.
The characters of the nativity scene Kastlunger in fact, are very original thanks to the modern style and use of color almost gaudy. The nativity figures are given a very expressive face. The crib is enriched by an oval structure and its triangular stable.
The wooden figures of the crib Kastlunger are carved in maple wood and are available in the sizes 8 and 13 cm (3,15 and 5,12 inch) and in the versions natural, stained and colored.
