Description

Archangel Michael – Protector of Heaven and Souls

Archangel Michael is one of the four angels venerated by the Church, along with Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel. Known as the leader of the heavenly armies, he cast Satan and the fallen angels out of heaven according to the Book of Revelation and is a symbol of divine protection, courage, and justice.

His name, “Mi-ka-el,” means “Who is like God?”, representing his unwavering fight against evil and commitment to divine justice. In religious iconography, he is often depicted as a young warrior angel wielding a sword, shield, and scales, defeating the devil in the form of a dragon.

Archangel Michael is also considered a guardian of souls, weighing human deeds on the Day of Judgment to guide them into the kingdom of heaven.
