This gorgeous
wood carved figure represents a chamois in its ambience. The chamois climbs up
the rock steeply and elegantly, keeping the mountains under control.
Please note the accuracy with which the wood statue has been carved: the coat
is clearly recognizable and in the color variant also very faithfully defined.
The pointed ears and the rounded horns as well as all other features of the
animal are perfectly carved to the smallest detail. The wood carving of the
chamois is available in the variants natural, stained three colors and color,
as well as in several sizes.
The chamois belongs to the goat-family and mainly lives in the Alpine area, in
the Pyrenees, in parts of the Balkans and the
Carpathians. The length of the male animal can reach up to 130 cm, the height
up to 85 cm and the weight up to 50 kg. The females are slightly smaller. Both
have horns, which are up to 25 cm long and slightly rounded.
The chamois has a strong physique and long, strong legs with large hooves.
